37-Acre Surf Park being called, Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory of Surf Parks, Coming to Phoenix Looks Pretty Incredible

We have major news coming out of Arizona: a 37-acre surf park is about to hit the landlocked area of Phoenix, and no, we’re not joking.

Thanks to @haileyfrances in a new TikTok, we got the low down on what to expect from the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory of Surf Parks.

You’re going to want to take notes on this one, folks. The newly artificial ‘Cannon Beach‘ will not only be a mecca for surfers who want to ditch airfare prices and stay local, but it will also offer an on-site hotel.

As she describes, this new park in Mesa, AZ, will be “like Top Golf on crack,” but for the surfer crowd. The park will have everything, from restaurants to shopping to an actual shoreline.

Arizonians are more than ready to get their toes wet. “I drive by it every day,” penned @herhashtaglife. She added that she “can’t wait” and is more than ready to “pay a membership fee.”

Fellow user @ryanhaarer admired, “Wow, this is going to be such a huge draw,” referencing the fact that the new park will bring more visitors to the desert city.

Cannon Beach, which developers boast as “the intersection of lifestyle and adrenaline,” will be home to Revel Surf Park, which aims to provide people of all ages, abilities, and skill levels an opportunity to try surfing. Learn more about Revel Surf’s lessons and surf sessions.

From experienced surfers to the brand new grom, the surf park wants to get everyone on a board. According to the park’s website, park officials combined “Swell MFG‘s state-of-the-art traveling waves and the best rapid surf wave on the market by UNIT Surf Pool.”

Although its waves aren’t rolling yet, some pros are already giving the park their stamp of approval. For instance, Shane Beschen, former pro surfer and X Games gold medalist, said the wave technology and vision “will be like nothing you have seen in the market.”

So while we browse flight costs to Arizona, we’ll keep re-watching this TikTok until the park opens its doors and brings the beach to the desert.
